Super gite in the park of a beautiful chateau. The rooms were beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. The hostess Julie was so friendly and helpful, we would have liked to stay longer but had made other plans

The Chateau de Villefargeau is a very picturesque, quiet, relaxing place to stay. The Chateau is close to Auxerre for easy transport by car, taxi or bicycle. The host is delightful, very helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The 2 bedroom place we stayed in was lovely with large rooms and a very comfortable bed. We would revisit in a heartbeat. While on our morning or dusk stroll around the grounds we saw resident wild deer feeding - very special!
