For me, the place was acceptable. It is 25 minutes from the city center by tram and close to grocery stores and restaurants. During my stay, there were no construction works or noisy neighbors, so I had comfortable and peaceful nights and mornings.

The location was just 10 mins to the nearest metro station and the receptionist was friendly :) Fair price for a 2 stars but needs a lot of refurbishment!

My friend and I stayed at the hotel from December 16 to 18. Upon arrival, we noticed that there is no elevator, so we had to carry our 25 kg suitcases to the second floor ourselves. We were welcomed by a friendly woman, although she does not speak English. There are ‘No Smoking’ signs throughout the property, however the corridor smelled of cigarettes. The room itself was quite nice, with a refrigerator and plenty of space for storing belongings. Unfortunately, when we asked for a kettle or hot water for tea, our request was not fulfilled. We decided to extend our stay for one more night, but the price for the additional night was almost double. Please also note that card payment is not available. On the positive side, the hotel is located in a very good area — right in the city center. There is a public transport stop directly outside the hotel, which makes it very easy to get around the city.

My arrival train was very late arriving, and the Arnes Hotel staff facilitated a late check in and arrival, by means of a key in a key-coded safe box at the entrance. I appreciated the cooperation of the hotel to enable access to the room, as I did not arrive until after midnight.
