The hotel has a central location that favors a walking experience for exploring the city. The Beacon Hill Park is just across the street. The rooms are comfortable, very clean and the kitchen is well equipped. The front desk and hotel staff in general are super supportive and very kind. It was a great experience for me and my family! PS: Be aware the hotel has no elevators, so if you need accomodations for accessibility make sure you ask for a room on the first or second floor (there is a ramp on the outside of the building).

The spacious room at the Helm was great. The bed was very comfortable & the kitchenette a bonus. It was so good to have a kettle & toaster- rare items we had found on our travels from Yellowstone in US across to the Canadian Rockies & BC. Leaving apples for guests was a thoughtful & helpful gesture. Beautiful Park across the road. We were sad we were unable to have a longer walk there. The location was very walkable to many interesting places to see.
