Pros - Staff & Service: Really kind and helpful, especially reception staff and Luigi at the pool bar. When we forgot to book a transfer and couldn’t get the train due to a late flight (all quotes were €200+), the hotel organised one for us at a much more reasonable rate. - Apartment: Clean, spacious, with a beautiful terrace and stunning bay views. - Shuttle & Transport: Free hourly shuttle with a friendly driver. Last return at 10pm, but the 15-min walk via steps was easy enough. Great train links to Sorrento, Pompeii, Vesuvius and Naples. Boats to Capri, Positano, Sorrento depart right outside the hotel. - Beach & Poolside: Beach was rocky but lovely (sea shoes recommended). Beach toys/inflatables available. Drinks reasonably priced—cocktails good value. - Tennis: Free grass court (worn but playable), rackets and balls provided. - Resort Feel: Good if you want to stay put, relax by the pool/beach, and eat at the hotel.

This is a lovely resort for a family holiday. Right on a lovely beach, we had a very comfortable apartment. It is in a small secluded area but a 20 minute walk (up steps but manageable) brings you to the lovely town of Vico Equense. There is also a shuttle bus almost every hour up to the train station. From the train it was v easy to get to Pompeii or Sorrento. (Using the local Circumvesuviana train route). It is also handy for trips to Capri or along Amalfi coast. Restaurant on site is spectacular, and there are 2 or 3 other good options next door.

Great views of Vesuvius across the Bay. Comfortable beds. Clean apartment. Good supply of toiletries. Secure parking. The hotel is at the marina with three or four nice bars. Vico Equense itself is not comfortable walking distance so you’re reliant on the hourly hotel shuttle bus or your own transport - it is a very pretty town with good restaurants and incredible sunsets over the Bay if Naples.
