This gem has always remained in Marco’s family and you can see and feel the true love and care that has preserved it in its authentic beauty for centuries. Marco extends incredible care to his guests, in all respects. It’s genuine Italian hospitality in perfection.

Very pittoresque place to stay; old building with a lot of character, well renovated. Old cars, old furniture. Like a museum. Very nice owner, helpful. Also our dogs were very welcome. We were invited to eat pizza with family and friends, which was very special for us. Nice surroundings, hills, castle, hiking. Visited a traditional cheese factory nearby, nice to see the process of making and aging the cheeses. Tip: ask the owner for his home made balsamico . Yummie!!

Charming, considerate and welcoming hosts and a tastefully renovated farmhouse of great character in a beautiful, rural setting, utterly peaceful, yet close to the small town of Viano. This corner of Italy is not touristy, but is similar to Tuscany in many other ways. It felt like being a friend of the family and meant it more of a genuine experience of Italy, more so than being in a hotel. Driving into Modena takes about35 minutes and is well worth the visit, being less touristy than many other towns, but with much to see.
