The welcome basket of bread, cheese, wine, milk, ham etc was so lovely! The house was super clean, really nicely decorated and comfortable, and in an incredible location just a few minutes walk from Verteuil centre for boulangerie, restaurants, butchers, cafes, shops etc, and much needed dips to cool in the gorgeous Charente river that runs through the town.

What a fantastic place! We can't recommend the gite enough. It's absolutely fabulous. Very tastefully decorated throughout, with such a lot of thought and care gone into renovating it. It has everything you need, including a lovely patio area with a BBQ. Debbie is a such a lovely host and left cheese and wine in the fridge for us on arrival. The village itself is stunning with some fantastic views of the château and afternoons spent on the river Charente. Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday. We can't wait to come back!

The house is quirky and beautifully decorated. A gorgeous covered courtyard with a track leading down for the dogs to have a quick walk. Short walk down to the river where the dogs can enjoy a swim. Minutes from a couple of bars and restaurants, antique shops, and Vin Cave for your wine! Parking directly outside the house. The hosts were amazing, really friendly and gave us some great tips.
