Lovely little gite and a beautiful garden. Hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. Free use of the garden at times when it was not open to the public. 5 minute drive or so to Bayeux.

The hosts are lovely! Always helpful, never pushy. The reception was lovely and the host even welcomed us with some cider and regional biscuits. The garden is stunning (at least in June, but in other months too no doubt). It's clearly a nurtured garden, with lots of little (hidden) paths and places to sit. Even a pond with a small waterfall and some ducks every now and then. It's hard to express in words (or pictures) how special this place feels, especially when walking in it when the garden is closed for visitors. Very lively with animals, like birds and insects, as well. And not to mention the lovely dog, cat, and donkey that love some attention! The accommodation is on the ground floor with a door leading to the garden and a door leading to the street. Clean and quite cool, which is nice in summer. The kitchen is small but has everything you need, like pots and pans, cutlery, and even some spices. There's also a fridge with a small freezer, oven, microwave, and small stove. You can eat inside or outside (wherever you want in the garden). The bathroom is clean with a nice shower. There is nothing within walking distance in terms of shopping, but Bayeux is about a 10 minutes drive away and has multiple bakeries and supermarkets (aside from being a very nice city). There's also a bigger shopping area with bigger shops (Lidl, Intermarché, etc). There is a little flea market-style/plant shop run by the owner which is worth visiting though. Don't hesitate to book this gite!

Fantastic large garden that was occasionally open to the public which we could walk round when not 'open'. Well equipped kitchen with a table and a sitting area with a sofa and TV. Nice bedroom and bathroom. Location was very quiet but fairly close to Bayeux (10 min drive) and the N13. Friendly host.
