Fantastic stay at Jill's gite. Off the beaten track yet great position to get everywhere in Périgord noir and further afield within 3O mins. Comfortable and well equipped, the cottage was also cool. Nice garden to relax in. Jill has loads of tips on what to do and where to go . Will certainly go back there.

We arrived late and Jill was there to welcome us in, show us around and made us feel super comfortable. She messaged earlier that evening letting us know we might not have many dinner options nearby and to consider eating before we left the city. Just so caring! The Gite had everything you'll need, super close to Montignac and a perfect location for exploring. The bed is super comfy and the shower, delightful! WiFi was particularly strong, both of us were working (video calls etc) and absolutely no issues with it. A great little place to escape and work at. Barney the dog is a sweetheart and we loved playing with him!

This place was exceptionally wonderful and Jill is the most welcoming, friendly, kind person who went above and beyond in making us feel totally at home from the minute we arrived - she has fabulous hosting skills. We really enjoyed getting to know her and the story behind this gorgeous gite and she gave us loads of recommendations for the local area. Pretty Montignac is a decent sized town and the easiest 4-5mins scenic drive down a straight road past fields and the Vezere river, you can hire bikes there using an app, there are a number of stunning villages within 10mins drive, loads of great restaurants etc. But we loved the gite so much we enjoyed cooking there, relaxing in the various different seating areas in the garden including very comfortable sun loungers, playing with Jill's very friendly dog and wandering around the walnut orchards surrounding the property. As for the gite itself, it is brand new, squeaky clean, feels very spacious with high ceilings, has everything you need in the kitchen, great shower and incredibly comfy bed in cosy mezzanine bedroom up a stepladder - we loved looking out the bedroom window at night at the stars and listening to an owl. It is a magical place.
