Our gite for 3 nights is one half of a semi-detached half-timbered house, renovated in a contemporary style with the two bedrooms and shower in the first floor. Ground is the living, lounge, kitchen and toilet. The house and its rooms are a decent size. The unlock code for the key box to the gite was provided via Booking.com message beforehand. I was advised to park in front of the gate in my case. The road is not a thoroughfare as it becomes a gravel road when it goes into farming land. The lack of traffic means the area is quiet. We had a presumably once off issue with no wifi access on arrival, explained as work in progress associated with a cable upgrade, and it required us to share the weaker signal from the next gite. Wifi speed was good enough to stream video on the TV but with the occasional jitter from the weak signal. There is a coffee percolator in kitchen with some coffee powder. Some basic cooking ingredients in the kitchen cabinet. Plenty of kitchen implements, crockery and cutlery. The fridge is full size with the freezer on top. The washing machine was handy - BYO detergent. There is a drying rack, which is enough for a smallish load, and the plentiful supply of clothes hangers can be used for the rest. There isn’t an electric fan to assist drying the laundry. There are electric heaters upstairs and a log fireplace downstairs. Check the circuit breaker is switched on if the electric heaters don’t work on arrival. There isn’t any equipment instruction manuals other than for the washing machine. Ignore the (old) wall sign about the cleaning fee as apartment cleaning is included with your Booking.com reservation. No kitchen paper towel is supplied. However, there are an ample quantity of kitchen and hand towels. A rubbish bin liner was only provided for the kitchen bin, none for 2 other smaller bins in the house. Only 2 toilet paper rolls were initially supplied so we had to ask for more (3 adults booked for 3 nights). Comfortable beds.
