What a treat to stay in a 200 year-old stone cottage reminiscent of days gone by. So much character with all the creature comforts we’ve come to expect. Small but plenty of room for we 3 seniors - even the very steep staircase to the bedrooms was manageable! Ger stopped in when we arrived to give us a run down of how to work everything from the peat burning stove to the quirky hot water system (which seems the norm in Ireland.) The cottage was perfect for our first 3 nights in Ireland - perched on top of a hill with great views and little traffic - but Is was the people of Valentia Island that truely made our stay magical! Thank you and we hope to be back!!

Truly the loveliest place to stay and so scenic! We had the very best time and felt right at home. Our host was also very responsive and always kept us up to date on everything and even heated up the house for us when he heard we were getting in late! Can wholeheartedly recommend!

Our stay at Cul Cottage was absolutely amazing. The cottage feels like a step back in time. A traditional Irish home full of warmth and cosiness. The views from the house are second to none, and the property itself is spotless. We had a warm shower with great pressure, and the location was ideal. That said, the island is quite remote, which is part of its charm, so make sure to bring everything you need before arriving. Thankfully, the cottage was well-equipped with everything we could possibly need. One of the highlights for us was that the property is pet-friendly. We were able to bring our two fur babies, which made the experience even more special. Ger was an absolute pleasure to deal with (such a gentleman.) The fire was lit on arrival, and he even rang on day two to check if we’d like it lit again. We would 100% recommend Cul Cottage to friends and family, and we’ll definitely be back hopefully in the summer when the weather’s a bit better! That said, even with wind and rain warnings, the island was still breathtakingly beautiful. There’s truly nothing like an Irish getaway 🇮🇪 ☘️

This was the Best choice we ever did,travelling to Co.Kerry!Usually is hard to find place which is pet friendly and on perfect spot.Located in Valentia island, this house were everything you need,to feel Irelands spirit in every corner of this building.So autenthic and same time you have everything you need,perfect shower,warmed up beds and kitchen with all things you need. You don't need to worry about electricity must pay seperatelly,as price is very afordable in the end,because many places there in Ireland is much,much higher!Highly recomended by us!
