The staff are very courteous & helpful. You will need a car or taxi to get up from the town with luggage. Great walk from hotel to the castle & down into town. Wine tasting at 2.30pm at the vineyard, 10 mins walk down from hotel. All the food is delicious, the breakfast has a great choice & Maree restaurant is stunning in location & food, the sommelier was so helpful & gave us lots of great information. We hope to return one day.

Eating breakfast outside under a super large canopy with stunning views was fantastic. Equally so the huge selection of food choices, be they hot or cold. The restaurant was of a very high standard for the evening meal (I pre-booked to be safe as I knew it is very popular). The pool was great (but just one depth) and just like the rooms and corridors was tastefully decorated. I was very conscious that both the hotel and the meal were in a high price bracket (for me personally). However when making the booking I took it ‘on the chin’, as I was only only going to be there for one night and after all, it was my birthday. What made the whole stay however more palatable were the staff - they were very professional and really did know how to look after you, being happy to chat/laugh with you. I have stayed in expensive hotels before where the staff seem to regard themselves as a class above their clients - not so the Sonnenhof. I would love to return but would only do so if my wife agreed to join me, so she too could enjoy the Sonnenhof experience (she opted out of this trip, as I was only there for an international football match!)

I liked everything, the hotel staff was kind enough to upgrade my room for free. The room was wonderful, it had everything you need for a comfortable stay including free tea & coffee as well as charming balcony with a spectacular view on greenery and the Alps. The breakfast was great, with many choices for vegetarians and excellent food.

It is a lovely hotel on the hill side with a panoramic view of the Vaduz castle and the swiss mountains in the background. The Maree restaurant is a gourmet restaurant that serves first grade local ingredients. The staff are exceptionally friendly.
