The fine print
Please note that the reception is closed from 9pm until 8am. If you expect to arrive outside reception opening hours, please inform the property in advance and please note that a payment will be required. Contact details can be found on your booking confirmation. Please check pictures and hostel descriptions carefully: Our hostel is located a 20 minutes walk from town, up a hill. It's made out of wood and the ceilings aren't closed. That brings the best air circulation but allows bugs etc. to enter the rooms, bats included. We can not change our location or building and you will see how great it is here (by the way: geckos and bats eat mosquitos)... Important note for non refundable rates, group reservations and reservations of 4 nights or more: Please be aware that we will ask for a payment via PayPal in advance. Other payment methods are available but will have an additional fee. More than 4 guests count as a group and we request a security deposit. We can not host workers in shared accomodation, only in private rooms with private bathrooms. ENVISION festival: Please note that during festival times we can only accept prepaid reservations and have also a special cancellation policy - we will contact you about that in a personal message. Thanks for understanding and pura vida :-)Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.

It was amazing experience to stay there, hotel is surrounded by the jungle and you can observe wildlife while chilling on the hammock. Common spaces are great, kitchen is very big and they provide very good quality coffee for guests. Staff is very helpful. I can recommend joga classes - great experience.

Big common area with multiple hammocks and space to eat, play games, work, and socialise. Staff was friendly and attentive, happy to answer questions. Because it was rainy season, I was offered an upgrade from the basement dorm to a room in the main building. I didn’t accept it at first because it was a lot smaller and seemed more crowded, but on the last day I asked, and they were still happy to assist and let me take the upgrade. The view is STUNNING. Very chill and pleasant place. If I had to choose between Cascada Verde in the jungle or one of the hostels next to the beach, I would pick this one, even if it’s a 1-hour walk from the beach. With the rain starting at 1pm, it’s nice to have this beautiful and tranquil place for the rest of the day. Also gotta add that I ment many amazing solo travellers here and we spend many evening playing games and having a laugh. All of us kept extending our stay. One more small detail, on the first night, there was a group of people that were quite loud at night, and the hostel offered me a complimentary breakfast for my troubles. I found it was a very sweet and thoughtful gesture. Bonus thats always nice: plenty of showers and bathrooms.

Unique hostel, our greatest accommodation in all of Costa Rica. Overlooking the forest down to the sea. Nice common area with games and vibe, friendly and helpful team that deserves support. Playful cat will be missed!
