The fine print
Big Blu Mafia Island Dive Resort is located within the boundaries of the Mafia Island Marine Park. As such, guests will be required to pay a nightly entrance fee for the park at the gate before arriving. This fee is currently $20 vat per night. Big Blu are unable to accept payment of this fee.Please note that payment by cash can only be made in Dollars, Euros or Tanzanian shillings.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.
Payment before arrival via bank transfer is required. The property will contact you after you book to provide instructions.

The staff at Butiama Marine Camp and at the Big Blu diving center that is located at the same place was very service minded and flexible to fit your individual needs. Will highly recommend anyone going there if you are interested in marine life! There was a very relaxed vibe and you were able to chat a little with other guests.

It is a beautiful place, a lot of activities - daily excursions (staff even tried to organize it just for us), diving (different reefs), snorkeling, massages, everything. Food is amazing, prices are reasonable. Very peaceful, nice, calm and great send camp. Staff was also amazing, we were three young girls, felt safe and really enjoyed our last days of Tanzania.
