The host is so helpful and she is a very kind lady, besides the attractions nearby is good and the hostel location is great. Very large common area and the bed is good.

Absolutely wonderful lady running this place together with her husband, she showed us what true kindness and hospitality are. Why the facilities are not the greatest, they are comfortable and clean, and the host lady's caringness more than makes up for it. She goes way beyond what you would expect from a host, making us free food, giving us little gifts, staying up long past our check-in time because we missed our train, offering to pick us up from the station and just having a very kind conversation at the breakfast she made us. It's almost like being at your grandma's home again!

The guesthouse owner was lovely. I stayed there on Culture Day and I experienced warm Japanese hospitality and culture. The shared female bedroom was very comfortable. Everything was clean, and there were shops and onsen a short walk away. The owner makes you feel at home!

The host was incredibly friendly, offering travel advice and itinerary suggestions. Although she doesn’t speak English, a kind fellow traveler helped translate. I also took a cooking class with her, learning how to make Okonomi-yaki and onsen tofu – it was fun and delicious! The male dorm is on the second floor, and while the facilities are basic, they provide what you need. It’s clear the space wasn’t initially designed for a hostel, as things were added over time. However, if you’re after a welcoming host and a cozy place to rest, this is perfect. While there’s no onsen in the hostel itself, a five-minute walk takes you to a fantastic public bath. Highly recommend this for anyone seeking a cost-effective, local, and heartwarming stay in Ureshino city center.
