I stayed in one of the bungalows along the beach and it was so beautiful. I booked here for the last few days of a busy trip so it was really relaxing and a nice end to a great trip. I could see the turtles from my balcony. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The food was good too.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our stay at Galawatta Beach Resort in Unawatuna was the absolute highlight of our trip! We had a beautiful bungalow right in front of the beach – it felt like paradise. The food was incredibly delicious, and the whole property was very well maintained and lush with greenery. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, especially Shalin, who was a really nice guy and always helpful. The view of the ocean was just breathtaking, and the accommodation itself was cozy, clean, and beautifully designed. The beach, with turtles swimming right in front of us, was an absolute dream. We would come back here any time – truly the perfect place to relax and enjoy Sri Lanka’s natural beauty!

Location is amazing! Your villa is overlooking a beautiful little beach with turtles but is not over crowded like the beach down from it

Property is right by the turtle beach, and we enjoyed swimming with the turtles. The location is at the top of the list of the best things about this resort, you can enjoy swimming with the turtles all throughout the day. Other things that are great about the resort is the view of the open ocean and the passing ships by the horizon as you sip your tea/coffee on the balcony, the awesome Srilankan breakfast spead that they provided, and last but not the least the courteous and friendly staff. The rooms were clean, well decorated and maintained.
