The location was excellent. Literally on the Main Street and yards away from shops and other pubs. The staff were pleasant and the beers were good. We were informed on at least 2 occasions before visiting that the pub was lively and had weekend discos. We stayed on a Wednesday night and didn't here a thing.

Staff were amazing, Cam, James, Jay and Rachel were all lovely and accommodating, both in the day-to-day, but also when issues arose. All were friendly and personable, happy to serve and have a good chat with - a must when going on holiday! Both the sun and the sister restaurant Wasabi were fantastic, and 10% off due to the room was a lovely surprise. The room was clean and tidy, but fairly basic - perfect for us to use as a base for our trip around the Lake District.
