Great pub in a great location. Bit outdated, but you get what you pay for. Clean beds, clean towels, and a hot shower. This is not a leisure hotel, but a good hotel to stop in if you're just looking for a place to sleep. Music loud, loud, loud - it is very appreciated that the hotel sent a message about it; we didn't mind as we've stayed in lots of music venue bars/above karaoke venues, but the noise was much louder than I ever expected. Maybe earplugs as standard room equipment would be a good choice to consider?

Callum and Jay were very welcoming. We had our bags carried to the hotel room. Everything was explained to us. It was not too noisy as there was no acts booked in the evening. We would definitely consider returning.

We had a good stay. We stayed mid week and it was quiet and friendly. Budget room was clean and comfortable. The hotel make it clear that st weekends it will be noisy due to entertainment downstairs.

If you’re OK with the fact that this is not the quietest accommodation, The Sun Inn has quite a few advantages – perfect location, nice historical building and a pub with a great atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was OK for the price.
