Good breakfast and staff were very accommodating and down to earth. Location was good and I enjoyed their company, as well as the company of animals. An excellent stay.

After being shown to our room, a gentleman offered to help me with our bags, which wasn't needed since my wife had already taken care of that - ME !!! Our room was more than adequate, with facilities to make tea and coffee. There were fresh, clean towels, and a few little snacks on our freshly made, very comfortable double bed. Once we made our way back downstairs, a fresh pot of coffee was ready for the wife, and a lovely Coke with ice and lemon for me. (Oh, and cake )The bathroom, as stated, was shared; however, this wasn't an issue as Sarah was up and about way earlier than us, as Saltcoats is a working farm. The bathroom was clean with hot and cold water, a shower cubicle, toilet paper, soap, etc. Sarah was very pleasant and helpful; she even went out of her way to write a list of suggested tours and guides to take a look at . After returning from our adventures in the late evening, we sat and chatted with Sarah and the other guests for a while outside in the farm yard area. It was like home from home for us. Even the family dog was helpful, as I set off to walk my dog, not quite sure where, her dog ran off in front of me. It showed me the local footpath where they played in a nearby field come footpath for a while before taking me back to the farm. For someone who runs a farm, Sarah is a remarkable woman. We really enjoyed the relaxed friendly atmosphere so much.

The farm was great . The host Sarah is such a wonderful person she is just amazing. The farm is a working farm with horse cows pigs and sheep which Sarah runs on her own I think your great what you do.The Sunday roast she cooked was delicious and the home made trifle was delicious. Sarah’s fur babies were lovely too. Missing you all already see you soon xxx
