The People: Worth their weight in gold. Personal introduction to the place from the owner - a former Londoner :) Ask for Sukhwinder at Reception and have a word with Rhanjith from the General Store up the road - they're always there, always ready to help, and between the two of them, everything can be arranged for you... and you won't spend a small fortune to get it either! The Location: A peaceful, quiet, relaxing place just a 2-minute walking distance to Someshwara Beach! Very close to the Ullal market (you can walk there or get the boys to drop you off on a scooter for the price of those few drops of petrol it takes to get there). 20 minutes to the very center of Mangalore - on a bus that runs every half an hour and can be waved to stop at your doorstep. 40 minutes to the airport by tuktuk for almost half the price of a taxi. The Room: Very spacious and the only place this side of India with a proper hot shower! Yes, actual HOT water! :)
