If you want to stay right in the heart of Ulaanbaatar, Urgoo Hotel is an excellent choice. It’s incredibly close to the city’s main landmarks — just 100 meters from the National Museum of Mongolian History, 200 meters from the Chinggis Khan Statue, and about 400 meters from Sukhbaatar Square and the Parliament. The Chinggis Khaan Museum is only a short walk away as well, and I highly recommend visiting it. Our bed was surprisingly low and firm — the mattress was barely 15-20 cm off the ground — but still comfortable enough for a good night’s sleep. The bathroom was modern, though the shower had several switches and digital controls that took me a moment to figure out. Breakfast is served restaurant-style rather than as a buffet: you order from a menu and wait for your meal to be brought to your table. Everything we tried was delicious and refined. Overall, a wonderful stay. Fully recommended. P.S. One quirky detail: the Chinggis Khaan International Airport — named after, you guessed it, the country’s most famous historical figure — is extremely far from the city centre, roughly 52 km away!

The room was massive but was a suite and the breakfast was good and loved the location albeit it did feel rather dated but I would stay there again
