Everything! Nishida-san's homestay is a wonderful example of Japanese hospitality, The house iinteriors are in typical style, with one tatami room large enough for 3-4 people and the annex, with ensuite toilet and basin, to accommodate another two. The place is a 25 minutes uphill walk from Bessho onsen station, secluded in the woods, with a gorgeous view over the darkest forest I've seen (picture Princess Mononoke), with wild animals roaming freely up to your doorstep. Nishida-san is a wonderful person and the most marvellous host and does his utmost to make you feel cared for, and more! He insists to drive you up or down to the station with luggage, often made tea for us and even breakfast each morning which was delicious. The house is spotless and futon beds so comfortable, it's just what one needs to take a break from it all. We will certainly be back again on our next trip to Japan, as you won't find a better place or host to stay, anywhere. どうもありがとう Nishida-san

Great host, very beautiful place and surroundings , comfortable, clean. Nice suprise in the morning with a little breakfast. Really one of the best stays of our trip. Definitely recommended. Communication ok with Google.

Amazing traditional house in direct nature. We were warmly welcomed by the owner with tea and snacks and even received a small breakfast the next day. The owner is super nice and we had a pleasant chat even with language barrier. Parking with motorcycle was no problem and he even organized a piece of wood for firm stand/parking. Thanks again for this amazing stay!
