It was cozy and nice and the place had real personality. The staff was very nice and they’d looked at our booking and adjusted it a bit so we could all stay on a floor together instead of being spread out. It was a lovely place! We definitely recommend it!

Amazing staff, greeted me with smiles and positive energy, upgraded my room for free to an ultra appartment with many rooms, balcony and my own kitchen. Good wifi, clean, breakfast nice and warm. Worth the stay

The location was good. The old style makes it feel very nice and the breakfast has a good variety of food.

Varmland Hotel provides a unique and authentic historic experience. The old manor is tastefully decorated with historically accurate pieces that hark back to the time of its creation. Parts of it feel like stepping into a museum. Upon arrival, the very friendly proprietress (who apparently lives on site and can always be reached) moved me into one of the larger suites, which quite frankly had more rooms than I knew what to do with. The bedroom I ended up using was stylish and comfortable. The bathroom was absolutely spotless, and while I did not make use of the kitchen, it appeared to be well-stocked. Since the suite was located on the first floor, it offered a great view of the lake and town as well, with some hills in the distance. On warmer days, the balcony would be a great place to spend an evening reading.
