We stayed for 1 night and chose this hotel for the room, location, pool and that you get a washing machine. It had all but not a washing machine, it's a chargeable laundry service. They were fast, but that was disappointing as we're a family of 4, so travelling lots means we prefer to pay for accommodation with convenience. The staff were lovely, food was great, you get a sri lankan breakfast.

The countryside is a great location (close to the elephant transit home and a few restaurants). The room as clean and sizeable with A/c and fridge. The pool was also warm and very clean. The staff were very helpful in suggesting things to do in the surrounding areas and organising a morning safari (they also provided bananas and crackers for the trip and then delayed breakfast for us). Would highly recommend The Country Side.

Comfortable,clean apartment.Great staff,very good breakfast and dinner.Fantastic pool among the jungle.We liked the safari organized by the hotel.We also used pick up and drop off service and it was for a decent price.Would love to come back one day.

The pool was amazing. The rooms were very confortable. They organized us the transfers and the the safari, which was great. The staff were very helpful. The elephant transit home is only 800m away from the accommodation.
