Family-ran business. Safari was really good. Food was good, ready as soon as you arrive from the safari. Hosts are lovely. Location is great.

We are a family of 4 & we stayed for 1 night. The host family were lovely, they organised everything for us, picked us up from Ella, took us on safari, made us a delicious dinner, an amazing breakfast and took us onto our next stay in Arugam Bay, all for a really, really good price. The accommodation was spotlessly clean & so comfortable. The highlight was elephants walking down the road when we were eating breakfast! Honestly can’t recommend this place enough.

This property is located on the edge of the Udawalawe national park (elephants literally come to the other side of the road) and is owned by a local family. The room was clean and cozy and had very good AC for a small fee, a mosquito net and beautiful balcony where we spent a lot of time. The family were so welcoming, lovely and helpful for our entire stay. They arranged for us to be picked up from Ella for good price and cooked us a beautiful home cooked meals every night and morning also for a a good price. They truly go above and beyond. Helping us get the bus to udawalawe on our first day, they even waited with us for the bus to come and made sure we got on okay. On the second day we arranged our safari with them and Nalaka (one of the owners) took us himself in his jeep. This was a highlight of our trip! We had an issue with our card when at the safari and Nalaka was very helpful in the situation. Shivanthi even drove me to ATM on her scooter after the safari as I had to use all my cash in safari as my card stopped working! Would recommend this place to everyone looking to do the udawalawe safari.
