Absolutely lovely family run accommodation. Lovely couple and their gorgeous dog Shane. Very close to the national park and these guys can arrange a safari for you at a very reasonable price. Food was fantastic too. Lovely feel to the place.

Mango tree house owned by lovely couple. Rooms were clean and modern. Good value for money. Host also arranged taxi for us from Ella, and also onwards to Mirissa for a good price, with safe drivers. We also arranged our safari through mango tree house, our safari driver pointed out many animals and birds and drove safely. Safari was a good price for the service received. Excellent communication from host when arranging transfers and safari prior to arrival

Very friendly family, made us feel very welcome. Beautiful food too. Lovely surroundings and within walking distance to a river. Our boys loved exploring and playing in the grounds. We had a safari booked through Mango Tree too and it was excellent. I liked being able to communicate with them through WhatsApp prior to our stay.

Our stay in Mango treehouse was amazing! Sachith went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and sort everything we needed. The chalet was clean and comfortable. The dinner and breakfast were both delicious. We also arranged our safari through Mango Tree House and that was equally great. Would recommend.

The Hotel is close to the Udawalawe National Park. We got one of these lovely Tree House with an outdoor bathroom. The Stuff was super friendly and helpful. We booked a 6 hour Safari with the Hotel for a fair Price. Additional the gave us a lunch packet which we got presented in a quiet area near to the lake in the National Park. The Guide we got was super friendly and told is a lot about every kind of animal we saw. In the evening we got the Curry Buffet in the Hotel it was original made by the wife of the owner and and super tasty.

Lovely little stay when visiting for the Udawalawe safari! You have your own little lodge with a porch and outdoor bathroom. The room was clean and comfortable, just a sheet and comfy pillows. The buffet is incredible - this was the best food we had on our whole trip! Home cooked and absolutely delicious. Lovely breakfast too.

My daughter and I had the most amazing stay here ready for our safari trip. Exceptional care from the owners arranging transport to and from the location, private safari and dinner on site (nicest food of our whole trip experienced here!) Fabulous room and wonderful to experience the outside showers. Loved every minute here, thank you.

We can highly recommend a stay at Mango Tree House in Udawalawe. Run by a delightful couple, who designed the layout so every bungalow feels very private amongst the banana trees. Great outdoor shower layout. Mosquito net over a wooden frame so it made sleeping more comfortable. Electric outlets conveniently located in room for charging devices. There was even an emergency torch/light next to the bed, which is handy if there’s a power cut. Meals are delicious vegetarian repasts and they also make some interesting and yummy cocktails. We organised our safari through them, a four hour afternoon safari with driver/guide Nimesh, who was very knowledgeable. Communication was very easy, Sachith answering questions quickly. They even put the aircon on in the room half an hour before we arrived, which was very much appreciated on a hot day. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Just a few chalets in a beautiful garden. The hosts are lovely and the food delicious. Our room was spotless and the outdoor bathroom delighted our children- the photos don’t do it justice. close to the elephant transport home
