Room was spacious and outdoor bathroom with waterfall shower, a treat. We asked to change rooms as the one allocated to us was not to our liking. No problem. Sachith and his wife were very accommodating and lovely. Also recommended a great restaurant nearby (as theirs was closed) on the river.

This was without a doubt the best place we stayed in Sri Lanka! Way above what we were expecting and great value for money compared to other places. The rooms are awesome, each their own little cabin. Really clean and modern. The private outdoor bathroom was great. The breakfast was fantastic and they kindly let us take this when we got back from our safari. We also opted for the Sri Lankan curry buffet for dinner which I would HIGHLY recommend. I was travelling with my 6 yr old child and appreciated that Mango Tree house didn't charge for him for dinner - he is a picky eater, especially with foreign foods, so didn't eat much other than rice. A nice touch, especially compared to other places we stayed. My only regret is that we didn't stay here longer!

Just like a local home stay and that's what we wanted. Nice breakfast. Filtered water. Open shower.
