Staying here was so much more than just accommodation – it was a deep cultural experience. This is a traditional Balinese compound, and it’s a fantastic opportunity to see how Balinese homes are truly organized and lived in. The family is absolutely wonderful. I felt genuinely welcomed and even had the privilege of spending a couple of hours talking with the owner – a wise and kind elder with so much to share. Learning about Balinese culture directly from him was a highlight of my trip. The room was spotless, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the bathroom was amazing – it even had a proper shower, which is surprisingly rare in many places across Indonesia. I was genuinely impressed.
