Amanda “Great house with a severe lack of supplies”

Lots of useful information was sent prior to arrival. The house was fantastic with heaps of space and sun, a huge and well-equipped kitchen, and a very short walk to the shops. If I was just rating the house, I would have given it a 10, but… It was inconvenient that they don’t provide shampoo or shower gel because we had to bring it from home even though every other place we were staying provided it. They only told us the day before that they provide a “small supply” of toilet paper so we had to buy a packet even though we only needed one roll. They only provide one very small bin liner however long your stay, apparently because they are trying to reduce plastic bags, which is surely counterproductive if everyone who stays has to buy a whole packet of them. For the price I think all of these minor items should have been provided. The basic cleaning had been done very well, but it obviously rarely gets a thorough clean. There were thick layers dust on the blinds, dozens of handprints on the glass door, and some of the drawers beside the dishwasher were heavily spattered

location was great - very easy to walk to the supermarket. The well-equipped kitchen was perfect for self-catering.

Spacious house, well equipped, quiet and only 50 minutes by car to Lake Tekapo and Mount Cook. Parking on the premises. Would definitely book again when in the area.
