Charming and spacious apartment in the top floor of a former church building lovingly restored by the owners Rene and Gerda. Beds were very comfortable and there was an excellent shower. Owner Rene was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. We visited in February and it was warm and comfortable. The region is nice with some interesting towns. Medemblik (10 mins drive) is delightful and has a range of good restaurants. Enkhuizen is only 20 mins drive and is well worth visiting. It would also be possible to visit Amsterdam for the day as there is a good train service from Hoorn (25 mins drive). For the summer there is sailing in the Ijsselmeer within 10 mins, plenty of good local walking and cycling and fantastic beaches on the west coast within an hour's drive.

The general atmosphere and the friendliness of the owners. If you like quaint little villages then Twisk is a must see.

Most unusual place for a B&B. Still the church/ theatre has character and was very comfy. The bed was of premium quality, the breakfast in the former church hall marvelous. Spacious shared "living room" with tea kitchen, small fridge, TV and table with chairs.
