It was an unforgettable experience! It was out of this world. We truly felt like it was an experience for our senses. One thing I can say is that the photos don’t do it justice. I tried to capture it but it’s not possible! You are immersed in another world and there’s so much to explore. You will feel truly relaxed. So many little nooks & crannies. Big kudos to the artists that created this space and the architect of course. And finally a big thank you to the staff who make the stay so enjoyable. Our biggest thanks is to Luis Poot who works as a waiter in the breakfast area Alixa - he’s a fantastic person and we enjoyed meeting him very much!! Thank you Azulik - what a place you’ve created!

It’s a beautiful place in a stunning setting, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The Japanese rooftop restaurant is exceptional. ( tuna sashimi much recommended) However, the hotel daytime and sunset time tends to be filled with Instagrammers wandering around with their selfie sticks. They charge 100$ to go on the famous sunset roof experience and even if you are staying there your guests will still have to pay to join you. It has become so famous that we feel it may have lost some of its magic along the way. The rooms are okay, but not as clean as we expected; there was rubbish outside our balcony. (Room1) And one night there was no hot water. While the staff is doing their best to spruce up the place, it sometimes makes your stay feel like you’re in a construction zone, but i guess the wood construction needs constant attention and fixing. We couldn’t close our balcony door overnight, and my mother’s room 43 was next to a septic container, which made for a rather unpleasant smell—everything felt a bit shabby. However, if you’re looking for an interesting experience, it’s worth a visit. But if you want five-star comfort, Azulik may not be the right choice for what they charge you per night . We enjoyed our stay and even returned for another visit. Be sure to check out the gallery shop and spa—they're incredible!
