Hotel Overview

Located on a small island in Tulcea, Hotel Insula offers air-conditioned rooms and free WiFi. The on-site restaurant serves Romanian cuisine. The city centre is 2 km away and the hotel is directly at the shore of the Ciuperca Lake.

“Very cute hotel in Tulcea”

The location - hotel was right next to a lovely lake with fountains and we were lucky to have a room with that view. Absolutely lovely to wake up to. Restaurant food was also lovely. The outside and inside also looks very quaint and peaceful - wooden decor everywhere. The most unique hotel in a place where majority of them were build during communism era and are just bricks and bricks.

Very nice hotel. Nice, big and clean room, with small balcony. Ask for a room facing the lake if you want it quiet. Balcony light was out of order, and no soap in shower; staff were a little bit uninterested. But all in all a pleasant stay.

Excellent place to stay for transit between train and ferry as so close to port and station. Restaurant excellent, good vegetarian options. Lovely view over the lake.

Great location very close to the station and an easy walk to the riverfront boats and restaurants. Our room overlooked the lake, which was nice. It was clean, and quiet. They helped us book a delta trip and we were very pleased with the tour. I'm glad we had air conditioning because it was hot. There was a good fly wire door on the balcony so we could get fresh air as well. We had a nice meal in the restaurant
