The central location in Haguromachi made this the ideal location for an exploration of Mount Haguro and the rest of the Dewa Sanzan. The food was absolutely sublime, simple homemade Japanese food that warmed the soul, just as much as the owners that make you feel home from the moment you step inside. Absolutely wonderful stay!

This was such a highlight of my trip to Japan- I loved everything about it. The owners were so warm and friendly, the dinner and breakfast were amazing and my room was very comfortable. The location is also great for accessing Mount Haguro. I would love to come back someday!

Perfect location in a beautiful village. The room was very spacious and well appointed. Everything in the accommodation was spotless. The owners were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The meals were absolutely beautiful - it was some of the most delicious food I have eaten in Japan. I really appreciated the host taking time to explain every dish.

Wonderful staff, absolutely delicious and beautifully arranged food, comfortable, spacious, and clean room, and really nice onsen. I would absolutely come back and wish I'd been able to stay longer! Very close to the beginning of the Mt Haguro climb, as well.
