The room was spacious comparing the similar type of hotels. This is the game changer. The important ting to know is that there is plenty of parking spaces around - the municipality parking jaunt across the street and in the same street as the hotel as well. So, do not worry if you travel by car.

The main part of the room itself was very good; spacious with aircon & a TV. Parking in Troyes is fantastic; you can park out the front of the hotel, (on a meter), & over the road in the public carpark. The schedule for when parking is chargeable is a little bizarre, but once you understand it, it's pretty straight-forward as the same rules apply across the whole city. There is also a huge free car park accessible via Ave. Pierre Brossolette, just 3 minutes' or so walk from the hotel. The city itself is accessible via a free electric shuttle bus service that circulate 'til around half 7 each evening. The nearest stop is across the road, called Beurnonville. You can walk into the city in 10 minutes. There are plenty of bars & restaurants; we saw, & regularly drank, champagne at EU42 a bottle. Our first night there, we had a 3-course meal & a bottle of champagne for less than EU80 for 2. We enjoyed the chance to exercise our O-level grade of French with everyone we came across, including the hotel staff who were very patient, & at all times helpful & polite. The bed deserves special mention; really comfortable. Even the WiFi was good; no drop-outs or restrictions on devices. We'd definitely stay at a B&B Hotel again, & noting how many hotels there now are belonging to this chain, think we'll definitely pay more attention to holidaying in France in future, (especially as we're on the South East coast of England).
