A simple, but sufficient and comfortable location right in the heart of the bustling historic city, and within a walking distance from the train and bus station (15 mins). The hostel is located on the third floor in an old building which primarily serves as accommodation for vocational school students, yet one is not disturbed by the students in any way. The (single) rooms are small but perfectly fine for one person, they are equipped, beside a bed, with a sink, a small wardrobe, a table and a chair; the window goes out onto a park or the inner courtyard. The bathrooms in the corridor are shared, but kept very clean, with all the toiletries available all the time. One bathroom is just a bathroom with a toilet and a shower; the other on the same floor has two sets of toilets and two showers (locked) inside; which proved sufficient as I never had a problem accessing the bathroom when needed. The personnel at the reception are very friendly and accommodating, and they respond to the messages fast. I had a chance to chat with the manager on my last night and learnt about the principles of running the hostel and why it needs to remain quite simple, being a part of the Kolping houses network; the management are, however, planning some modernisation in the near future. I was also lucky to be able to leave my luggage there after checking out, which proved helpful in view of my travelling arrangements. I would definitely stay at Kolping Haus again,

The location is great in the center, but I enjoyed the silence and birdsong when I woke up in the morning. The room is cozy, the bed is comfortable. There is everything you need. Everything is clear! It is possible to have tea in the dining room at any time. Thank you to everyone who gives us the opportunity to stay with you.
