Claire, Chris and their family were excellent hosts. We really enjoyed our stay on their working farm. They gave us plenty of tips on where to visit, eat and also included us in their day to day routine. They stayed in the adjoining property and were very responsive to our queries. The abode was cosy and well stocked with food & beverages. They even includes their own farm eggs and excellent home made chilli jam. Bear in mind that the farm is a few hundred metres above sea level, so temperatures can be about 2C lower than sea level. Nonetheless, their friendly hospitality warmed our stay immensely.

A beautiful stone cottage in the middle of the countryside, to get away from everything. This lovely accommodation provides everything you could possibly need. With an opportunity to feed the animals as well, if you are lucky. The kids loved the bunkbed room, and being able to see into the kitchen was a bit of a treat. We used the stairgate to stop the sleepwalker, which was super handy. The logburner was superb, when things were a bit cold and damp outside. The beautiful welcome basket was delightful with a cheese and some wonderful crackers and the owners very own created condiments were delish. The view was superb. An excellent place to stay with family to explore the countryside or as a jump off point to be touristy.

The host was very welcoming and the property was very clean with lots of toys & games for children and lots of books & DVDs. It was a great experience to stay on a working farm and the kids enjoyed helping to feed the animals.
