we actually got an upgrade and the property was beautiful

The day before we were due to arrive, the owners contacted me offering to upgrade us to a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment on The Strand. I accepted and am so pleased I did. The apartment was very handy to the Rock Pool at the end of The Strand. We hired scooters, which are available right along The Strand, and took in the many sights along the length of The Strand. The breezes that came into the apartment at this time of year, Spring, were beautiful and we didn't need to use the airconditioners. The BBQ on the balcony, overlooking the beach and with views of Magnetic Island, was awesome for our dinners in the evenings. One of the bathrooms has a spa which we used to relax our tired muscles after our long drive to get to Townsville. The laundry has a washing machine and a dryer and the kitchen has a dishwasher, coffee machine and Soda Stream softdrink maker. We stayed here for a sporting event held at the Townsville Sports Reserve and the apartment was within walking distance of this, too.
