Sarah-Jane “Excellent apartment to discover Toulouse from”

We stayed at Le Prieuré between 10th and 18th September 2024. The apartment was secure, clean and well equipped – it felt like a home. Nathalie met us at the apartment to show us the gate access, the facilities and how everything worked. There were leaflets and guides to give you an idea of what to see and do while you’re in Toulouse. We had a fantastic stay here and would recommend this to a couple looking for an excellent base to explore from. There is a Carrefour Market opposite the apartment where we purchased most of our groceries for the week, and there were also two bakeries nearby. The street has a few pubs, restaurants and cafes. During the week everything was quiet by 11pm, and even on weekends the venues stopped their music by midnight. From the apartment you can walk in a straight line into the Capitole Square in Toulouse within 25 minutes. The St Michel Marcel Langer metro stop on Line B is a 3-minute walk from the apartment and has lift access as well as stairs (to go into the city, take direction Borderouge). The Palais de Justice tram stop is a 12-minute walk, or one stop on the Metro. While the Airport Tram stop is out of action, the Airport Bus stops at Jean Jaurés, which is on the same Metro line as the apartment. Things we did in our week: a free walking tour of Toulouse, Carcassone (45-minute train journey), Albi & Cordes-sur-Ciel (coach day trip), Le Capitole, multiple churches (Chapelle des Carmelites was a hidden treasure), Japanese gardens, Museum de Toulouse (very few English translations), Fondation Bemberg, the Canal du Midi and a walk by the Garonne.
