We loved our stay at Marbella. A very chilled vibe and just lovely to be able to sit and look out onto the river. Great location in the village with lots of eating and shopping close by. The breakfast was simple but tasty. The room was very clean and comfortable. From the moment we booked communication was excellent. From recommendations about the boat journey there from the parking place to restaurants and what to do in the area. We did four tours with them and they were all excellent!We did 3 tours with Luis and he was very passionate about the area. He had extensive knowledge, a great eye for spotting wildlife and was courteous and helpful. We highly recommend taking the boat tour with him as his boat can go further into the canals than the canoes. The night tour with Brandon was also awesome. He was a great guide with fab photography skills.

Convenient location - right in the centre of Tortuguero village - and staff were really helpful. Boat dropped and picked you up from there and all tours go from the property so everything is literally on your doorstep. We did the early morning boat tour, walking tour end evening turtle tour and all were fantastic. Lovely decking area on the river where you can sit and have breakfast/morning coffee. Breakfast is simple (fruit, eggs and toasts or pancakes with banana) but delicious. Property was very clean. We really enjoyed it there.

The hotel is by the river and boats drop you off and picks up at their jetty which is practical. Our room was upstairs overlooking the river with a nice balcony and was very spacious with a double and a very large bunk bed. Breakfast was pancakes or scrambled eggs plus fruits. The hotel is very quiet despite being in the main street and arranges tours from there. We saw 2 turtles laying eggs which made the trip.i loved it. We often sat by the river watching the birds and boats. It was quite meditative. Staff speaks English and is helpful. They lend raincoats and boots. It is also 3 mins from the beach on the other side.

Basic amenities but comfortable for the five of us on one room (double bed and three singles). Shower was surprisingly good (better than most Premier Inns we have ever stayed in!). Breakfast was delicious. Amazing views over the canal. Staff were helpful in booking the national park tickets as I couldn’t get it to work online from UK. Woudl 100% recommend doing their boat tour (06:00) and also turtle tour. We did the tour at 20:00. Our morning guide Luis was fantastic. We saw so many birds and animals. Rey Brown was our turtle guide. Very knowledgable and lots of tales to tell! Would return the for sure!
