The space has been renovated really tastefully, with lovely, high quality furnishings. It is spacious (I could do yoga!) but also cosy, and well insulated (and spotless). We used the kitchen on two occasions and it's great for simple meals. There are local shops a minute away and a big supermarket 5 mins by car. Teresa and Francisco were a delight, giving us fruit from the garden and being available for anything we needed. The town is quite quiet but we enjoyed staying here and it's within easy driving distance (20-30 mins) of the Coa Park rock engravings and only 10 minutes from the start of the scenic train line to Oporto. (It's a nicer town than Vila Nova). You can also access nice walks in the hillside straight from the accommodation. I'd love to go back in Spring to see everything in flower. Overall, a lovely stay. We arrived an hour earlier than expected and Teresa and Francisco were kind enough to allow us to check in early. The location was fantastic! Close to the historic church and center of town. Teresa and Francisco checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed and gave us suggestions of restaurants in the area. They were absolutely wonderful hosts and we enjoyed our time in their guest house.
