We absolutely loved our stay at Il Belvedere in Torno — it was pure magic from start to finish. The beauty of the hotel and the little harbour of Torno took our breath away. We were a group of friends visiting Lake Como for the first time, and we couldn’t have landed in a better place. The location of Torno is one of the most beautiful spots on the lake — nestled in a narrower passage that still offers breathtaking, wide-ranging views of both the water and the surrounding mountains. It feels peaceful and authentic, yet close to everything. The hotel is family-owned, as is the neighbouring one, and that personal touch shines through in everything. Everyone we met — from the owners themselves to their close-knit team — was warm, welcoming, and genuinely cared about making our stay special. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, arranging everything from a fantastic wine tasting to great local recommendations for hikes and activities. The hotel feels brand new — elegant, fresh, and perfectly maintained. Our room had a lovely terrace with stunning views over the lake, and it was spacious and beautifully designed. On our first day, we did the classic Lake Como boat trip to Bellagio, and on the second we hiked directly from the hotel on a wonderful two-hour loop around Torno, finishing with a delicious lunch by the harbour. It was everything we hoped for and more. We left with full hearts and unforgettable memories. A huge thank you to the family who runs Il Belvedere — you truly made our weekend something special. We can’t wait to come back!

No matter how I describe this hotel, I cannot do it justice. From the comfort and tranquility to the polite and professional service from all the staff, it is exceptional. I would especially like to mention the young lady at the reception, both upon our arrival and at departure — she is truly the epitome of courtesy.

The location of Il Belvedere is perfect for exploring all of Lake Como. The hotel itself is a hidden gem with staff who are focussed on the guest experience. The restaurant at Il Belvedere is a definite must visit if you're in the area or are thinking of somewhere with a gorgeous view, lovely staff and delicious food!

Everything was absolutely fantastic - amazing location with some incredible views. The staff (hotel, bar and restaurant) was very friendly, very helpful and made you feel welcome. It's also close by the boat trips. The room cleaning was done daily and the room was spotless afterwards.I highly recommend this hotel, there is nothing at all to fault!
