The tranquil environment, splendid views of the lake and mountains as soon as you wake up in the morning, a very good breakfast and a very helpfull staff. The facility also had a very good restaurant.

We arrived during a landslide in Torno which had cut off the water supply to the area. Out original hotel had to cancel our reservation but we were stuck needing somewhere to stay and Glavjc took us in with only a few hours notice. The staff were incredibly resourceful in adjusting to the crisis to make guests as comfortable as possible and adapt to provide a full dinner service despite the obvious challenges. We took a day trip out to Como which was unaffected on the morning after we arrived and by the time we got back to Torno later that day, we had running water again. The restaurant was of a stunning quality, they were even capable of adapting to suit dietary preferences (vegan) as we were limited to were we could go during the crisis and took the time to remember my needs when we came down the following night, offering different dishes that they were able to adapt. The hotel owner was kind and accommodating, and clearly all of the staff take a great pride in treating their guests. It was a level of care I have rarely experienced and honestly felt moved by how much our happiness seemed to matter to them. Torno is a beautiful old, Italian town. The views are incredible and you can catch a pleasant boat ride to anywhere on the lake from a dock a few mins walk away. The view was incredible, and we had a little balcony to watch over the lake and enjoy the mist over the mountain tops.

The location and view from all around the hotel is beautiful. It is true it is an older style property but that gave it a charm that you don’t get at a sterile modern hotel . The staff , particularly the 2 young guys who served our evening meal were extremely friendly and helpful. The meal was excellent and there was a great choice and so nice to not see pizza for once .
