Our family had a lovely 4-night getaway at One Tree Hill House. The views were absolutely stunning, lush greenery, serene surroundings, and the perfect off-the-grid experience to unwind and detox. The free WiFi worked well, and the bathrooms were clean and well-maintained, and one of our favourite touches was the abundance of chopped firewood, keeping the fireplace going made the chilly evenings extra cosy. The host, John and his friendly dog George were both a delight. John was responsive and helpful, promptly resolving a door lock issue during our stay. The only challenge we faced was the rubbish disposal. Guests are currently required to take their trash with them and were suggested to use park bins, which wasn’t practical given their small size and restrictions. For longer stays, especially with a family, this can become quite difficult. A council-provided household bin placed at the front entrance for regular collection could be a great solution, benefiting both guests and the property perhaps, as a suggestion. Overall, a peaceful and memorable stay in nature, just a small tweak away from being perfect!

The views, the views, did I mention the views? The fact we could watch the sunrise and sunset from the bedrooms and just spend the day overlooking the mountains and sea was the best we could ever hope for.

Breath taking views from the building. Very quiet location. Kitchen had all the facilities for cooking. Hot water was running smoothly. It was very easy to collect keys. Wifi was working without any issues.
