Loved the location, the room layout, the washroom, the air conditioning, the laundry machine. The room was clean, decent amount of space by Japanese standards, and you could wash your clothing! Loved having access to the kitchenette. The dishes and fridge were super handy! Air conditioning worked perfectly. The check-in was a BREEZE - I was so worried and it was seamless. Also, there were 1-2 people at the counter most of the time we came in and out - which gives a bit of peace of mind that help is around if you need it. If you need to drop off your luggage BEFORE checking in - so that you can go out exploring - they have a rather large luggage lock areas. We had 4 big suitcases and we only took up about a quarter of it. That being said, there are large luggage lockers at Ueno station on your way to the hotel - so you could also use those. Another great aspect is the location - very close to Ueno station, restaurants, and dépanneurs. The Station is a 5 mins walk, there is a AMAZING Soba noodle restaurant right next door (we went twice for supper), a fantastic Indian restaurant a block away (we went for lunch - it was my youngest's favorite meal of the whole trip - and we ate well EVERYWHERE!). You can pick either Family Mart or Lawson, both are around 2 mins walk from the hotel (i.e. 1-1.5 blocks). There is also a cool coffee shop a couple blocks north, pastries and green tea latte were delicious.

The accomodation included a washing machine inside the room which was a fantastic bonus - helpful for doing multiple loads in the hot weather. The beds were comfortable and room was fairly spacious. The kitchen facilities would do well in a pinch if needed. Aircon and room cleanliness were great.

A more budget friendly option. The washer/ dryer was great. Loved having microwave ect. Much more family friendly.
