Super friendly family run hotel. Amazing breakfast. The host offered picked up us from the Akabane station. So we don't have to walk to hotel with the luggage.

Just as other reviews said, this Stay is absolutely great. I love how beautiful Mokkoan is. The hosts were absolutely great and I am super grateful that they picked me up from the train station and even took me to it when I was leaving. Breakfast was very tasty! I even got to taste homemade orange marmelade which was great ❤️

This is our second stay at Mokkoan. We stayed here in 2019 and we are very pleased we returned. Mr & Mrs Ito provide a very comfortable home to return to after a day of exploring Tokyo. They are very friendly, speak lots of languages, helpful & happy to assist their guests with information plus driving them to & from the station. The breakfast is delicious. Tokyo was experiencing a heatwave when we were there and we were very pleased to return to our air conditioned room each night. The beds are comfortable and Mokkoan is very clean, the shower is excellent & the garden is beautiful. Mokkoan is a near Akabane station, a short train trip from the centre of Tokyo. The station can easily be reached by foot, but Mr Ito kindly offered to drive us to the station in the hot weather. There are lots of options for dinner around Akabane station. We will definitely stay at Mokkoan again.

We had a great time staying at Mokkoan. We loved sharing breakfast with the owners and K-chan(toy poodle) in the morning. The Mokkoan is in a nice and quiet neighbourhood about a 15 minute walk to the station. We had a beautiful spacious room with a view of the garden (room 101). The owners and staff are very helpful and friendly and speak English very well. They helped us with laundry, TA-Q-BIN, picked us up from the station when we arrived and drove us to the station in the morning. We would highly recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a bit of peace and calmness in Tokyo with a lot of character.
