Gran Customa is one of those hotels that stays with you. It’s in Ueno, a great area for tourists. It has a lot of life, it feels very Japanese, and it’s not full of Western people. It’s also well connected to everything. Inside, the hotel has very good baths, it’s very clean, the capsules are also clean, and the common areas are great. When I stayed there, they offered free curry rice for dinner, which I really appreciated.

I was greeted by friendly staff who even though there was a language barrier where very helpful. My pod was clean & comfortable. The facilities were exceptional all areas were well stocked with everything that was required. The location was within a busy area with lots of places to eat but also near a park, shrine and zoo.
