The fine print
Directions: From Shinjuku-Gyoenmae Subway Station, leave from Exit 2. Go left and turn left down the first street you encounter. Continue straight for 300 metres until you come to a larger road (called Yasukuni-Dori). Turn right and continue for 50 metres. The hotel will be on your right.

Was a great choice about a km from Shinjuku station and the happening places, but away from the noise. Easy walk metro ride or $8 taxi ride. Surrrounded by small eateries including some high end ones needing 3 day advance bookings. Ranging from Japanese to French cuisine. The hotel room we good sized one with a kitchenette ( little extra would have got one with a separator between the bedroom and sitting area). Liked the place enough to extend our stay by 2 days. A better pit stop than the Citadines Central which is in the middle of Shinjuku if you want a calmer atmosphere. Kitchen was good enough for making small meals if you wanted. Staff was very warm friendly and gave us a room change when we checked in. Alessandro ( hope I have the spelling correct) was very helpful. There are washing matchines on the ground floor as well as gym, though the 11-15000 steps you have to do in Tokyo should be enough exercise. 7 eleven next door with an atm and a couple of hundred metres down is aliquot store with a good collection of sake. We liked the Dassai 39 but they have drier options.

Room was a great size compared to a lot of accommodation in Tokyo, location was close to public transport and places to eat. Room was clean and there was cleaning service every day. Room had a small kitchenette with microwave which was handy. There was a free coffee machine for all guests.

Spacious compared to other places we’ve stayed in Tokyo. Good location in Shinjuku (but a little bit of a walk to get into the heart of the action). A nearby adjacent street has good simple restaurants
