The fine print
Sustainability Tax (Cukai Kelestarian) by the Pahang State Government from 1 February 2022, all guests will be subjected to a mandatory Sustainability Tax of RM 3.00 per room per night and only applicable for all types of accommodation rooms for hotel visitors throughout the State of Pahang. These amounts will be collected upon checkout by the hotel, on behalf of the Federal Government.Due to the remote location of Japamala and occasional adverse weather conditions, WiFi and Internet connectivity service disruption is plausible. There is no mobile reception or coverage at the resortAll of our rooms are built based on Samadhi’s philosophy of preserving the sanctity of its natural surroundings. Most of the room has different layout and design. For any specific request related to room layout such as will be strongly subject to availability upon arrival. Nevertheless, Japamala Resort will be striving to ensure the best stay experience for all guests.From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted.Please be informed that the villa does not accept third party credit card payments. You will be required to kindly present a photo identification and the same credit card used to guarantee your booking when checking in or making payment at the hotel. In the event that you do not have the credit card used to make the booking, you will be required to make full payment on the credit card that you have in your possession. Charges on the previous credit card will be refunded within 14 working days.Smoking includes tobacco cigarettes, vape, cigars, pipe tobaccos, cigarette leaves, bamboo pipes and water pipe smokes (bong, hookah/shisha and mouassal) are strictly not allowed in the room. Smoking is only allowed on balconies and ground floors. Should a tenant smoke inside their room, they will forfeit their deposit and subject to a cleaning fee equivalent to one night room charge at the prevailing rate. Please be kind enough to respect this agreement.Please be informed that children below 12 are not allowed due to architectural design and safety concerns.Each room is only allowed a maximum of 2 adults per room except the Hillside Sarang room category and above. Any request for an extra bed is subject to availability and chargeable at an additional MYR 250 nett per unit per night, inclusive of daily breakfast.Please be reminded that the swimming pools are not fenced off. This may require a level of supervision higher than one may be accustomed to elsewhere. Kindly note that there are no lifeguards present at the swimming pools or on the beach.Please be informed that the East Coast Rainy Season in Malaysia is generally between November to February. Guests might experience frequent rains and rougher sea conditions during the rainy season, and are advised to plan their journey to Japamala Resort at their own discretion. For guests who opt to book the public ferry or flight, Japamala Resort, and the management reserves full authority to not be held liable/responsible for any public ferry and flight disruption/cancellation of services affecting the arrival to the resort.Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
