Motel Overview

April and Ian Clifford welcome you to Glenmark Holiday Park located just a 3-minute drive south from central Timaru and only an hour’s drive from the ski fields at Lake Tekapo. There is accommodation to suit all budgets at our quiet and friendly park, options include standard cabins, self-contained studios, and large two-bedroom motel units as well as sheltered camp and caravan sites.
We have a range of onsite facilities that include an outdoor pool, playground, trampoline, pedal car hire and a free to use barbeque next to the communal kitchen. Our lounge includes Freeview TV as well as books and magazines. All guests are provided with free onsite parking and limited free WiFi.
Whether you want an utterly relaxing break or an action packed holiday, we are the perfect location. We are an ideal family holiday environment with wide open spaces and spectacular beaches, showcases great museums and natural landscapes. During your stay our friendly team can inform you about the local attractions and activities such as Caroline Bay Beach, voted one of the top 10 beaches in New Zealand, where you may find little blue penguins to view for free, or head to the river and fish for Trout and Salmon. There plenty of family activities such as the Christmas Carnival at Caroline Bay that runs for 3 weeks from boxing day, with family entertainment daily and child friendly museums with rare Maori rock art tours. The rock art is the most extensive work to be found anywhere in NZ.

Perfect for small groups, the Small Standard Cabin includes a bunk bed with a double and a single in the room. Guests’ linen is supplied, and cooking utensils are available in the camp kitchen for you to use. All guests have access to the onsite facilities and communal TV lounge, showers and toilets. Limited wireless internet is provided, and all guests have access to our onsite facilities.

For larger groups the Large Standard Cabin includes a double bed, 3 single beds and a sofa. Guests’ linen is provided. Cooking utensils are supplied in the shared camp kitchen for you to use. TV lounge, showers and toilets are shared. Limited wireless internet is provided, and all guests have access to our onsite facilities.

For travellers wanting the option to cook and store groceries, the Self-Contained Studio includes a double bed and 3 single bunk beds all with bedding and towels. An open-plan kitchen that includes a cooktop, fridge and microwave, lounge with Freeview TV channels and sleeping area. For more privacy the ensuite has a shower, toilet, and vanity. Limited wireless internet is provided, and all guests have access to our onsite facilities.

Two-Bedroom Apartment with Private Bathroom - enter dates to see room photos

Ideal for families or groups, the Two Bedroom Motel unit provides a double bed in one bedroom and 4 single bunk beds in the second bedroom, all with bedding and towels. The lounge features a TV with Freeview channels and DVD player. A fully equipped kitchen featuring an oven, cooktop, full-size fridge, and dining table means meals can be prepared and enjoyed in the room. The ensuite has a shower, toilet, and vanity. All guests have access to our onsite facilities and other room features include limited wireless internet, heat pump, and double glazing.

Providing a dining area, a wardrobe and a sofa, this family room includes a shared bathroom. The well-equipped kitchenette features a stovetop, a refrigerator, kitchenware and a microwave. The family room provides a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a private entrance, a tea and coffee maker, a seating area as well as garden views. The unit offers 6 beds.

We had a great time, we were there for the proximity to Pleasnt Point Railway. However the staff put us on to some good things to do while there. They were very friendly and helpful but the real hit with my son was the pedal car!

My child and I had an excellent stay. The service, amenities etc were all great. Enjoyed the use of the trampoline and playground. Definitely looking forward to returning soon.
