The fine print
The Volcano Huts Thorsmork is in a remote location, only accessible by hiking or special buses during 1 May to 30 September.During winter from 1 October to 30 April, transportation by super jeep is required and guests can be picked up from Seljalandsfoss waterfall or Reykjavik. There is a car park at the Seljalandsfoss pick-up point.After booking, please contact the property via e-mail for directions and additional arrival details.Although all rates are quoted in EUR, please note that charges will be made in ISK according to the exchange rate on the day that the charge is made.Bed linen, duvets, pillows and towels are not included. You can rent them on site or bring your own. Please note that the former items are included when booking a room package.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.

I really enjoyed my two nights stay in the Volcano Huts. I stayed in a private room with shared bathroom and the room itself was small but cozy, the bed was super comfortable. The staff of the Volcano Huts was super nice and helpful with recommendations for hikes and always up for some jokes. The buffet in the evening was also great. The location of the Huts are perfect as a base for hiking in the stunning nature of Þórsmörk! i will definitely come back.

It was beautiful and well taken care of. We enjoyed the sauna & the small thermal pool, and the food/restaurant were a treat after 4 nights in huts. It was just the re-charge we needed to gear up for our hike to Skogar.

Beautiful and unique camping grounds in an incredible area - so beautiful all around and a wide open range of hiking trails to choose from which staff were so helpful to advise with. The sauna was a nice addition too
