Geertje “Nice stay close to wildlife”

Location is super! From the (shared) balcony, we could see some animals (hogs, bisons, monkey,...). The hosts were also very friendly and helpful. They lend us a torch to get a glimpse of the animals in the dark.

We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful homestay in Thekkady, perfectly located near the park entrance and much quieter than busy Kumily. The balcony offered stunning views of the park, and we were lucky to spot bison, different species of birds and wild boar while relaxing! The hosts, Rani, her brother, and his wife, were incredibly warm and helpful. The entire experience felt personal, serene, and close to nature. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a calm, nature-filled getaway!

This place is located so well- right at the border with the National Park! We spotted bison and wild boars from the balcony! The owner is very kind- he helped us out and saved us from a tourist trap when we asked for his help (the expensive jeep safaris are a trap- go for a guided nature walk safari inside the national park instead). He walked us to the national park office (which is also very close by) at 8:00 in the evening to help us book the nature walk. We were pleasantly surprised by the hospitality. Would definitely recommend this place!
