To use the hotel's free shuttle from Mashu Station, please make a reservation at least 1 day in advance. Please inform the hotel of your estimated time of arrival at the station.Please be informed that dining options are limited in the area and there are no convenience stores. Guests without a meal plan are advised to have their meals before travelling to the area, or bring their own food.The latest time for check-in is 21:00.Bicycle rental is available from April to October only.Please inform your means of transportation to the property.Guests must check in by 19:00 to eat dinner at this property. Guests who check in after this time may not be served dinner, and no refund will be given.

They are friendly and they show the information about the tourism spots. We did a early morning trip provided by the hotel (1500yen) and it’s a fantastic experience for us

Very cute place. It is close to the Lake Mashu/Lake Kusshiro Nationalpark and ideal for remote relaxation. The team is helpful and friendly and breakfast and dinner are included - which is super local and very generous. The room and beds are comfortable and they clean the amenities well. I stayed there for three nights and was very happy. Important to know: When I stayed there, they had cats and they moved pretty freely. I loved them, but if you‘re allergic, this is not for you. Also: The owner offers sunrise viewings which was very cool. I‘d happily return.

Hostel with rooms set off a hexagonal tower. The hostel is just off route 243 between Bihoro and Teshikaga, Lake Kussharo can be seen from the second floor. It has a large dining / communal area on the first floor, with the toilets and shared bathroom. On the second floor is a small communal room and the rooms/dormitories. My dormitory was split level loft style, 2 beds on the entrance floor and 2 further beds in a loft reached by a ladder. Each bed has access to its own light and power outlet. There is also a switch beside the bed for the room lights. The food is delicious and freshly prepared daily from local ingredients. The hostel also offers cafe meals and snacks and sells alcohol. There are 3 cats in residence, 2 of them really friendly. Just outside the dining room window is a bird table, shimaenagas have been spotted there. Staffe are friendly, helpful. The hostel offers a shuttle bus option to and from Mashu train station.

Property is located some 10 mins drive from nearest Biruwa station. Fortunately host offer pick up and drop off at either Mashu or Biruwa station, provided one arrange prior to arrival or departure.. Dorm bed is the very old school style dorrmitory where you only get a bed and bedsheet. No locker or towel provided. There are no eateries or mini mart within walking distance. Unless you drive, my advise is to take up the half board option when you book this property. This will solve your meals problem. I arrived at around 4 pm and was not able to order dnner. Breakfast and dinner are delicious and reasonably priced. Communications will be a challenge for foreigners who do not speak japanese. English is practically non existent and no print information is given in English. When in the area, I recommend doing a canoe trip with Somokuya. The owner, Yayu san (hope I've got his name spelled correctly), and wife team are very friendly and hospitable. Yayu san can converse well in English. My trip down Kushiro River is just magical. The experience is very relaxing, serene and visual pleasing. Yayu san organisers hiking trip as well. But I guess season and weather dependent.
