Chris and Penny “Idyllic, peaceful rural retreat with superb views”

We thoroughly enjoyed during our 2-week holiday at this renovated farmhouse. The rural location of the property, set within an olive tree farm on a narrow lane just a few km outside Massa Lubrense, made for a very quiet holiday and gave us a wonderful "get away from it all" feeling. It was within a 30-minutes drive of Sorrento, and 45 minutes from Positano, yet the whole Massa Lubrense peninusula, and this property in particular, were a whole world away from these crowded honeypot sites. On our arrival, the owner, Tullio, welcomed us with a drink at his agriturismo business in Massa Lubrense, then guided us personally to the property. We latermet him by chance on several occasions in the town, and he always enquired how we were getting on and if everything was alright. He also very generously invited us to pick whatever tomatoes and other produce we needed from the plants on his farm. The views from all windows of the property across to Capri, Ischia and Mt. Vesuvius were amazing, as they also were from the wonderful private swimming pool which was for our own sole use. Those views - and the sunsets - are exactly like (if not even better than) the photos on the website!! There was ample space in the accommodation for 2 adults (and our dog), with everything (facilities, equipment, kitchen items, etc.) provided to make our stay there very comfortable. Use of the spacious grounds and easy parking added to our enjoyment. Shops, bars, restaurants, beaches, harbours, etc., were all within a 10-15 minutes drive, but we found that the very rugged and steep surrounding landscape meant that walking to them was difficult. Although the sea was very close, there was no direct access to it as the accommodation is several hundreds of feet above sea level.
